Optimal Power Control in Decentralized Gaussian Multiple Access Channels

open access: yes, 2018
We consider the decentralized power optimization problem for Gaussian fast-fading multiple access channel (MAC) so that the average sum-throughput is maximized.

An analysis on decentralized adaptive MAC protocols for Cognitive Radio networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The scarcity of bandwidth in the radio spectrum has become more vital since the demand for more and more wireless applications has increased. Most of the spectrum bands have been allocated although many studies have shown that these bands are ...

Application of the mode-shape expansion based on model order reduction methods to a composite structure

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2017
The application of different mode-shape expansion (MSE) methods to a CFRP based on model order reduction (MOR) and component mode synthesis (CMS) methods is evaluated combining the updated stiffness parameters of the full FE model obtained with a mix ...

Frame delay and loss analysis for video transmission over time-correlated 802.11A/G channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This paper presents simulation results for the transmission of unicast MAC frames over 802.11a/g. Fading channel models at various Doppler frequencies are developed to generate time- correlated SNR waveforms.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

An analytical model of contention in wireless sensor networks using tree routing

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học và Công nghệ
Presently, the focus of current research on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is predominantly on contention at the MAC layer, overlooking the traffic characteristics of upper-layer traffic, especially the interaction with the routing traffic.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Using Platelet-Rich Fibrin to Remove Graphite Tattoos May Yield Excellent Long-Term Result

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry
Graphite tattoos are rarely reported because they are mainly caused by an accidental injury or habits during childhood that cause a pencil to penetrate the oral mucosa.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
