MACA-BI (MACA By Invitation)-a receiver oriented access protocol for wireless multihop networks
Proceedings of 8th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications - PIMRC '97, 2002A novel wireless MAC protocol named MACA-BI (MACA By Invitation) is introduced. MACA-BI is a simplified version of the well known MACA (Multiple Access Collision Avoidance) protocol, which is based on the request to send/clear to send (RTS/CTS) handshake and which has inspired the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN standard.

Neuroprotective effects of Lepidium meyenii (Maca)
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2010The neuroprotective activity of the plant Lepidium meyenii (Maca) was studied in two experimental models: in vitro and in vivo. Crayfish neurons were pretreated with vehicle or the pentane extract from Maca, subjected to H2O2, and their viability determined microscopically and chemically.
