Factors Influencing Nursing in Macaca fascicularis
Folia Primatologica, 1977Nursing by two mother-infant pairs in a caged colony of Macaca fascicularis was monitored at 1-min intervals for 8 h beginning 8:30 a. m. BST, once a week for 3 months in the summer of 1973. Nursing occupied about 210 min in 8 daylight hours for the infants at 10 weeks of age, and the time spent nursing decreased at the average rate of 9.4 min per week

Pteridine-metabolizing enzymes of Macaca fascicularis
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 19821. The crab-eating monkey (Macaca fascicularis) has been studied for enzymes which react in the biosynthesis of pteridine cofactor of phenylalanine hydroxylase: 2. Rather high activity of sepiapterin reductase (EC 1.1.1.153)(0.130 mumol) and measurable activity of dihydrofolate reductase (EC 1.5.1.3)(0.039 mumol), (in amount of substrate reduced/hr/mg ...

Oxalate nephrosis in Macaca fascicularis
Laboratory Animals, 1994Crystals within the renal proximal convoluted tubules of several cynomolgus monkeys ( Macaca fasciculata) were investigated by light and scanning electron microscopy together with histochemistry and X-ray microanalysis techniques. The crystals were shown to have the physical structure and staining characteristics of calcium oxalate monohydrate.

Dysthyroid Orbital Disease in Macaca fascicularis
Journal of Medical Primatology, 1981Fluctuating left exophthalmos in a mature male Macaca fascicularis was studied clinically utilizing the diagnostic modalities of A- and B-scan ultrasonography and computerized tomography in addition to routine ophthalmic examination and radiography. Laboratory results were suggestive of thyroid hypofunction.

Psoriatic Plaques in Macaca fascicularis
Veterinary Pathology, 1988An adult male cynomolgus monkey ( Macaca fascicularis) developed erythematous plaques with adherent white scales on the skin. Microscopically, the epidermis had regular acanthosis with marked parakeratosis, focal absence of stratum granulosum, and spongiform pustules and Munro-like microabscesses. These histologic findings were suggestive of psoriasis
