Entering the Age of Specificity in T Cell Immunity

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 343, Issue 1, October 2026.
ABSTRACT The discovery of MHC restriction, the resolution of peptide–MHC structure, and the identification of the T cell receptor gene quickly centered epitope‐level specificity as a core concern of T cell biology. Epitope mapping culminated in functional peptide‐based stimulation assays and tetramer staining, which together provide exquisite ...

The Role of Kappa‐Opioid Receptor/Dynorphin System in Modulating Neural‐Circuits of Depression and Anxiety—A Review

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 19, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Major depression and anxiety disorders are psychiatric disorders that involve a great number of people. There is a growing need for new and better pharmacological treatments for these diseases. Kappa‐opioid receptor (KOR) antagonists seem to be a promising new pathway for the development of new antidepressants and anxiolytics, but a great ...

Scaling relationships between Haversian canal‐to‐secondary osteon and midshaft femur cortical‐to‐total area in a human autopsy sample

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 249, Issue 4, Page 865-882, October 2026.
We report that femoral cortical thickness was strongly and negatively associated with secondary osteon porosity in an Australian autopsy sample, indicating that thicker cortices contained less porous secondary osteons. This allometric relationship held for the whole sample, males and sedentary well‐nourished individuals, but not for females or other ...
