Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

It is currently not well understood how cells regulate basic properties, e.g., volume and mechanics within dense multicellular environments like tumors. Here, we show that different cell types of cancer and also normal cells largely decrease their nuclear and cellular volumes in emerging cell clusters and that this is partly driven by cell cycle shifts.

Improving Euler Computations at Low Mach Numbers [PDF]
This paper consists of two parts, both dealing with conditioning techniques for low-Mach-number Euler-flow computations, in which a multigrid technique is applied. In the first part, for subsonic flows and upwind-discretized linearized 1-D Euler equations, the smoothing behavior of multigrid-accelerated point Gauss-Seidel relaxation is investigated ...

Computational Study of Shocked V-Shaped N2/SF6 Interface across Varying Mach Numbers
The Mach number effect on the Richtmyer–Meshkov instability (RMI) evolution of the shocked V-shaped N2/SF6 interface is numerically studied in this research. Four distinct Mach numbers are taken into consideration for this purpose: Ms=1.12,1.22,1.42, and
