Realization of Sequential Machines with Threshold Elements

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1966
The state assignment problem for finite-state sequential machines is examined in the context of threshold logic. An algorithm is developed for assigning binary codes to the states, inputs, and outputs so that the state variable and output variable functions satisfy the necessary condition of 2-assumability that they be linearly separable. The algorithm

Finite element analysis of machine elements

Engineering Computations, 1999
This paper gives a review of the finite element techniques (FE) applied in the analysis and design of machine elements; bolts and screws, belts and chains, springs and dampers, brakes, gears, bearings, gaskets and seals are handled. The range of applications of finite elements on these subjects is extremely wide and cannot be presented in a single ...

The Active Element Machine

2012
A new computing machine, called an active element machine (AEM), and the AEM programming language are presented. This computing model is motivated by the positive aspects of dendritic integration, inspired by biology, and traditional programming languages based on the register machine.

Experimental construction of an element of thinking machine

Kybernetik, 1962
The construction of an element of thinking machine is described, as studied by E. R. Caianiello, in analogy with brain functions.

Kinetics of Machine Elements

1975
A machine has been defined as a combination of bodies used to transmit force and motion. The forces acting on the machine elements arise in a number of ways; for example, in a reciprocating engine there is the gas pressure on the piston and the load torque on the crankshaft, together with the reactions at the bearing surfaces.
