AbstractAfter a brief historical review of early attempts to apply category theory to place sequential machines and control systems in a unified framework, we present three contributions to the theory of machines in a category: the dynamical interpretation functor which relates the response of a machine to a sequence of inputs with the reachability map

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.

Influence of Tool-Workpiece Interface on Surface Integrity after Turning
This paper deals with influence of flank wear on decomposition of cutting force in turning roll bearing steel. The decomposition is carried out to evaluate the components of cutting force in the tool-chip as well as tool-workpiece interface.

Kernel Machines With Missing Responses [PDF]
Missing responses is a missing data format in which outcomes are not always observed. In this work we develop kernel machines that can handle missing responses. First, we propose a kernel machine family that uses mainly the complete cases. For the quadratic loss, we then propose a family of doubly-robust kernel machines.

Manufacturing Process Modeling and Simulation [PDF]
This paper presents a methodology to be employed in the whole process design phase including first and second processing. This methodology consists of a set of steps which are characterised by an independent model.

Targeted protein degradation in oncology: novel therapeutic opportunity for solid tumours?
Current anticancer therapies are limited by the occurrence of resistance and undruggability of most proteins. Targeted protein degraders are novel, promising agents that trigger the selective degradation of previously undruggable proteins through the recruitment of the ubiquitin–proteasome machinery. Their mechanism of action raises exciting challenges,

Are there intelligent Turing machines? [PDF]
This paper introduces a new computing model based on the cooperation among Turing machines called orchestrated machines. Like universal Turing machines, orchestrated machines are also designed to simulate Turing machines but they can also modify the original operation of the included Turing machines to create a new layer of some kind of collective ...

Material microstructure affected machining: a review
The machining induced material microstructure evolution path is determined from the temperature and mechanical loading history. Inversely, the machining forces and machined part surface integrity are dependent on the material microstructure attributes ...
