A Feature Recognition Algorithm for NC-Machining
1997Previous work of the authors (Corney, 1993) has been extended to allow the recognition of closed depression and protrusion features on components containing cylindrical faces. The aim is to automate the creation of volumes which need to be cleared from a stock body in order to manufacture a component.

Vocal Features: From Voice Identification to Speech Recognition by Machine
Technology and Culture, 2019This article considers machine methods used in the collection, processing, and application of vocal recordings for speaker identification and speech recognition between 1908 and 1970. The first phonographic archives featured collections of "vocal portraits" that prompted international investigations into the essential features of human voices for ...

RECOGNITION OF 3D MACHINING FEATURES USING FEATURE MATRICES
2010Feature recognition is regarded as an ideal solution to integrate the component design and manufacturing processes. Integration of computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) systems is a vital importance in the building of computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) systems. In this paper, a matrix based feature recognition approach

Automatic recognition of interacting machining features based on minimal condition subgraph
Computer-Aided Design, 1997Abstract This paper presents a new approach for automatic recognition of machining features from the B-Reps of the part. In this approach we combine the conventional graph based recognition method with the hint based feature recognition idea so as to efficiently handle feature interactions and provide alternative interpretations of ...

Recognition of fruits using hybrid features and machine learning
2016 International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Security Trends (CAST), 2016Recognition of fruits automatically using machine vision is considered as challenging task as fruits exist in various colors, sizes, shapes and textures. Additionally, when images are acquired of them, variation is introduced due to imaging conditions also. In this paper we have recognized nine different classes of fruits.

Development of CAPP based on 2.5D machining feature recognition
2010 2nd International Conference on Computer Engineering and Technology, 2010This paper proposes an architecture of CAPP based on machining feature recognition. The key techniques such as machining feature recognition, process planning optimization are discussed. In order to recognize the machining feature, the edges are divided into two types: convex Edge and concave Edge.
