Is Airwayscope more effective than Macintosh laryngoscope? [PDF]
To the Editor: In a manikin study comparing the Pentax-AWS Airwayscope (AWS) and the Macintosh laryngoscope (MLS) during chest compressions, Kohama et al. [1] showed that the AWS was superior to the MLS. Also, they reported the same results in previous manikin studies simulating chest compressions.

Muscle activity during endotracheal intubation using 4 laryngoscopes (Macintosh laryngoscope, Intubrite, TruView Evo2 and King Vision) – A comparative study [PDF]
Background: Successful endotracheal intubation requires mental activity and no less important physical activity from the anesthesiologist, so ergonomics of used devices is important.

Comparison of the Flexiblade levering laryngoscope with the English Macintosh laryngoscope in patients with a poor laryngoscopic view [PDF]
Summary The effectiveness of two laryngoscopes, the English Macintosh and the Flexiblade (a levering laryngoscope), were compared in a clinical setting. An investigation was carried out in 100 patients admitted for surgery under general anaesthesia, to compare intubation with the Flexiblade or the Macintosh ...

Background: The prohibitive costs of commercially available video laryngoscopes often limit the adoption of this technique for routine airway management in economically weak countries. It has not yet been determined whether cost-effective adjustments improve intubation success rates to the required level of competence. Aims and Objectives: To compare a
