Community structure and diversity of macrobenthos in Jiaozhou Bay

Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2021
To understand the current community structure and diversity of macrobenthos in Jiaozhou Bay, a survey was conducted at eight sampling stations in April, July, and October 2018, as well as January 2019. Eighty-two macrobenthos species were collected, including 30 of Annelida, 21 of Mollusca, 20 of Crustacea, 8 of Echinodermata, and 3 classified as ...

Effects of microplastics on typical macrobenthos in sargassum ecosystems

Environmental Research
Recently, microplastics (MPs) have attracted extensive attention to their wide distribution and potential toxicity in ecosystems. However, there was a lack of research focused on MPs in seaweed bed ecosystems. This study investigated the distribution and toxicity of MPs in macrobenthos in Sargassum ecosystem.

Ecology of Estuarine Macrobenthos

1999
Macrobenthos is an important component of estuarine ecosystems. Based on a cross-system comparison, we show that estuarine macrobenthos may directly process a significant portion of the system-wide primary production, and that estuarine macrobenthic biomass may be predicted from primary production data.

The Macrobenthos of Moreton Bay

Ecological Monographs, 1970
The macrobenthos of Moreton Bay is diverse, with 355 species collected from 400 dredged stations. Many of these species are distributed throughout the Indo—West—Pacific area, others have an Australian distribution (possibly some may also occur in the northern hemisphere), and others are known as yet only from Moreton Bay.

The macrobenthos of the north sea

Netherlands Journal of Sea Research, 1991
Abstract The potential threat to the North Sea ecosystem due to pollution by organic and chemical wastes, has directed attention to the benthic assemblages in the sea. Because these assemblages comprise a wide range of ecological groups and species, many of which have a life span surpassing one year, they integrate effects of pollution over long ...

Macrobenthos in Montedoglio Reservior, central Italy

Hydrobiologia, 1996
An investigation was carried out on the macrobenthos of Montedoglio Reservoir, an artificial lake in central Italy. Seven qualitative and quantitative samplings, performed by drag netting and airlifting at 5 stations, revealed a total of 48 taxa during 1992–94.
