Waterschap Hunze en Aa’s voert in februari-maart 2021 in de bovenloop van het Anloërdiepje ter hoogte van landgoed Schipborg beekherstel uit, waarbij de beekbodem over een lengte van meer dan 2 kilometer tot 40 centimeter omhoog wordt gebracht door zand en houtig materiaal in te brengen. De reden hiervoor is dat de beek te diep is ingesneden.
