Nocturnal lepidopterans (Lepidoptera, Macroheterocera) of the Courish Spit in the Baltic Sea
Entomological Review, 2007Eighty-two species of Macroheterocera belonging to 15 families were collected from 1982 to 2004 on the Courish Spit of the Baltic Sea; records of 21 more species are borrowed from the published sources.

The Ecology of the New Caledonian Macroheterocera
1979The samples of moths made during the survey of New Caledonia differ from those analysed for Norfolk I. by Holloway (1977) both in their smaller size and in their greater species-richness. Figure 9 illustrates the latter difference, showing plots of the relationship between size of sample and number of species taken in each area.

Macrolepidoptera communities were examined and diversity was compared in three different indigenous forest stands (Oak, Beech and mixed forests) in the Sopron Mountains (Hungary). The monitoring was carried out from May to November, 2008, using portable light traps and identified a total of 349 species and 8046 individuals in 12 families.
