Waldo Lake Macroinvertebrates

Lake and Reservoir Management, 2000
ABSTRACT A total of 41 taxa was collected from nearshore and offshore habitats in Waldo Lake. The highest taxonomic diversity occurred in nearshore habitats which were structurally more complex and heterogenous than offshore habitats. The presence of 39 taxa (Hydridae excluded) in nearshore habitats varied by habitat-type and taxonomic group.

Reintroduction of freshwater macroinvertebrates: challenges and opportunities

Biological Reviews of The Cambridge Philosophical Society, 2018
Species reintroductions – the translocation of individuals to areas in which a species has been extirpated with the aim of re‐establishing a self‐sustaining population – have become a widespread practice in conservation biology.

Monitoring Freshwater Macroinvertebrates

2020
That invertebrate assemblages and individual species respond, often in predictable ways, to numerous changes their environments, gives them enormous value in assessing and predicting changes in water quality, impacts of disturbances, and the resources needed to sustain diversity and functions.

Macroinvertebrates in Reed Litter

International Review of Hydrobiology, 2001
Stem and leaf litter of Phragmites australis were enclosed in litter bags and submerged in a vigorous and a die-back reed stand of Lake Ferto/Neusiedler See (Hungary). Species composition and individual number of the macroinvertebrates within the litter bags were recorded between April, 1996 and July, 1998. Thirty one taxa were found during the two and

Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Program

2001
This report studies the macroinvertebrate communities found within Green Township in order to see how water quality affects them. A lab report, macroinvertebrate data sheets, maps, and photographs are included. Many illustrations of macroinvertebrates are provided, along with a brief description of each type.

Macroinvertebrates of Inland Waters

2020
The term ‘macroinvertebrates’ has both taxonomic and physical connotations. Conventionally, many biologists use the term to solely include arthropods, although other taxa—notably molluscs and larger annelids—are also well-represented in freshwater environments. All these groups are diverse, and vulnerable to changes.
