This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Whereas the postrhinal cortex (POR) is a critical center for the integration of egocentric and allocentric spatial information, the perirhinal cortex (PRC) plays an important role in the encoding of objects that supports spatial learning. The POR and PRC

A spatially controlled embedded bioprinting strategy enables precise engineering of prevascularized multicellular spheroids within skin‐derived dECM bioinks. Optimized spheroid size, composition, and spacing promote vascular maturation, paracrine signaling, and tissue integration, resulting in enhanced angiogenesis, blood perfusion, and functional skin

Resolving the Structural Duality of Graphene Grain Boundaries
Cantilever ncAFM resolves the atomic structure of grain boundaries in graphene, revealing coexisting stable and metastable types. Both contain pentagon/heptagon defects, but metastable GBs show irregular geometries. Modeling shows metastable GBs form under compression, exhibiting vertical corrugation, while stable GBs are flat.

Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Thermodynamically Constrained Averaging Theory: Why Bother?
Porous medium researchers and practitioners usually rely on macroscale models to represent systems of concern. While macroscale models have often been formulated phenomenologically, the thermodynamically constrained averaging theory (TCAT) provides a ...

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

Escaping the Scaling Relationships in Oxygen Reduction Catalysis: Implications for PEM Fuel Cells
Escaping the scaling relationships of the oxygen reduction reaction is vital for hydrogen fuel cells. This outlook examines how interfacial heterogeneity, spanning the subsurface lattice, chemisorption layer, and near‐interface solvation volume, mechanistically decouples intermediate binding energetics.
