The Role of Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Managing Hyperglycaemia First Detected in Pregnancy: A Narrative Review

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 9, Page 7719-7736, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Hyperglycaemia first diagnosed in pregnancy (HIP) is the most common medical condition affecting pregnancy, affecting up to 40% of pregnancies in some countries. Machine learning‐based prediction model for adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with gestational diabetes mellitus

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 17, Issue 9, Page 1583-1590, September 2026.
Machine learning models were developed in Korean women with gestational diabetes to predict adverse pregnancy outcomes including large‐ and small‐for‐gestational‐age, low Apgar score, and preterm delivery. RandomForest and ExtraTree showed highest AUROC 0.726 for LGA and 0.689 for low Apgar score, respectively.

Early diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus evidence from Asia countries: A meta‐analysis and systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 17, Issue 9, Page 1591-1603, September 2026.
In Asian populations, early gestational diabetes mellitus (diagnosed before 24 weeks) identifies women at higher metabolic risk and is associated with increased insulin use, preterm birth, and operative delivery. These findings support the need for harmonized diagnostic criteria and region‐specific screening strategies.

Lipid metabolism profiles as predictors of gestational diabetes mellitus risk: A retrospective study

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 17, Issue 9, Page 1604-1616, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common metabolic disorders in pregnancy and is associated with significant maternal and fetal risks. The study aims to investigate lipid metabolism profiles associated with GDM to identify independent risk factors.
