Integral Experiments and Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Lab‐Scale Liquid Distributors

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Four lab‐scale liquid distributors were evaluated based on the homogeneity of the resulting liquid distribution. The best‐performing design reduced maldistribution and wall flow compared to a single‐point liquid distribution and remained stable under varying operating conditions, including different gas and liquid loads.

Le couple interactif texte / phrase dans l'histoire de la langue française

open access: yesDiscours, 2010
This study is devoted to the question of textual coherence in various types of texts in Middle French (didactic works, short stories). The goal is to highlight the text / sentence (global set) assembly and to show under which conditions the evolution of ...

Microstructure and macrostructure [PDF]

open access: yesOrganised Sound, 1998
Musical coherence is essential for the achievement of meaning in any particular work. While it is possible to speculate on a variety of reasons which may facilitate this coherence, many would agree that an important determinant may be found in the successful articulation of the work’s structure.

Iron and Nickel Substituted Perovskite Cobaltites for Sustainable Oxygen Evolving Anodes in Alkaline Environment

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
Perovskite oxide catalysts with reduced Co content, substituted by Fe and Ni, are synthesized and studied for their activity in the oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline media. An increase in the intrinsic catalytic activity (obtained by the (RctCdl)−1 product) of the base material (Ba0.5Gd0.8La0.7Co2O6‐δ) is seen for an as high as 70 % substitution of

Sleep Health in Bulimia Nervosa: A Systematic Review

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Research on sleep in bulimia nervosa (BN) is methodologically varied and yields inconsistent findings. This review synthesised BN‐sleep studies and examined whether comorbid mood disorders contribute to sleep disturbance. Method PsycINFO, Medline (Ovid), and Scopus were searched for English or French quantitative studies comparing ...

The Micro- and Macrostructure of Alumina Rafts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
As alumina particles are fed to aluminium reduction cells, a frozen layer of bath is typically formed on the particle surface, due to the relatively low bath superheat. For particles in close proximity, platelets with frozen bath can be formed, resulting in agglomerates (rafts) containing solidified bath and alumina.

A Circuitous Path to Macrostructural Theory [PDF]

open access: yesAnnual Review of Sociology, 1995
I introduce this memoir about my academic career by describing the fortuitous incidents involved in my coming to this country and becoming a sociologist. In graduate school my sociological orientation changed under the influence of Merton and Lazarsfeld from grand theories to systematic theory grounded in research. My dissertation was a field study of
