PSEUDOVITELLIFORM MACULAR DEGENERATION
Retina, 1982Forty-two patients with pseudovitelliform macular degeneration (VMD) were studied. The macular lesions were yellow in color, appeared as a slight elevation at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), were usually 1/4 to 1/2 disc diameter in size and often showed a round or oval shape.

Vitelliform Macular Degeneration
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1977Six patients had macular vitelliform lesions similar to those in Best's vitelliform foveal dystrophy but all had normal electro-oculograms (EOG) and no familial involvement. Two patients had an exudative form of degenerative chroidopathy. The remining four had vitelliform lesions of unknown etiology.
