Case Series of Recurring Spontaneous Closure of Macular Hole
Macular hole can undergo spontaneous reopening and reclosure. This is a retrospective review of three patients who had spontaneous reopening and reclosure of previously spontaneously closed macular hole documented by optical coherence tomography.

Factors Associated with Anatomic Failure and Hole Reopening after Macular Hole Surgery
A macular hole (MH), particularly an idiopathic macular hole (IMH), is a common cause of central vision loss. Risk factors for nonidiopathic MH include high myopia, cystoid macular edema, inflammation, and trauma.

Evolution and successful management of a large postvitrectomy macular hole
We report the successful closure of a large postvitrectomy macular hole by temporal extension of internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling. A 25-year-old man underwent pars plana vitrectomy, ILM peeling, and perfluoropropane gas tamponade for optic pit ...

Human amniotic membrane plug to promote failed macular hole closure
The failed macular hole is a full-thickness defect involving the fovea that fails to close despite 1 or more surgeries. While many surgical options have been proposed to manage it, none of these guarantee complete anatomical success and satisfactory ...
