Multi‐Disease Detection in Retinal Imaging Using VNet with Image Processing Methods for Data Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a data augmentation method that expands an ophthalmology dataset by 12x, enhancing robustness and reducing overfitting. A novel VNet architecture improves accuracy by 10% over the original dataset and 5% over Grand Challenge benchmarks.

Macular Hole in the Retina [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Ophthalmology, 1919
This paper reports 23 cases of so-called hole in the macula discovered in the examination of recruits, many of whom were suspected of malingering. These reports furnish the basis for a statistical study and indicate the frequency of a lesion heretofore supposed to be rare. Authority to publish granted by the Board of Publication, S. G. O.

Vitrectomy for chronic macular hole

open access: yesZdravniški Vestnik, 2005
Background: Vitrectomy for idiopathic macular hole has a good prognosis but it depends on duration of the condition. Anatomic and functional results of operation are less good if macular hole has persisted for more than one year. The aim of our study was
