Dental development in the tropical gar (Atractosteus tropicus) and the evolution of vertebrate dentitions

Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

Implementation of guideline‐recommended medical therapy for patients with heart failure in Europe

Abstract Physicians' adherence to guideline‐recommended heart failure (HF) treatment remains suboptimal, especially regarding the target doses. In particular, there is evidence that non‐cardiologists are less compliant with HF guideline recommendations. This is likely to have a detrimental impact on patients' survival, readmissions and quality of life.

The focus is on the mandate of the Nondiscrimination Ombudsman in the workplace and on explaining the sudden policy change of strengthening it after a prolonged standstill.
