Identification and Quantification of β-Sitosterol β-d-Glucoside of an Ethanolic Extract Obtained by Microwave-Assisted Extraction from Agave angustifolia Haw

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
β-sitosterol β-d-glucoside (BSSG) was extracted from “piña” of the Agave angustifolia Haw plant by microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) with a KOH solution such as a catalyst and a conventional maceration method to determine the

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Embedding evaluation theory on African philosophies: An asset to evaluation transformation

open access: yesAfrican Evaluation Journal
Background: The article is in honour of Sulley Gariba, an advocate for a Made in Africa Evaluation (MAE), who encouraged, promoted and mobilised African thinkers to write about African-based ontologies, epistemologies and axiologies and their ...

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

ANALISIS LAJU PREDIKSI INFLASI DI INDONESIA: PERBANDINGAN MODEL GARCH/ARCH DENGAN LONG SHORT TERM MEMORY

open access: yesJurnal Lebesgue
Inflation is a condition wherein the general level of prices for goods and services in an economy continually rises. Predicting inflation serves as a crucial link in establishing future inflation values. The dynamic nature of inflation allows for changes

Bifunctional Surfaces With Immobilized Antibodies and Bioactive Peptides Mediate Selective Capture and Proliferation of Endothelial Colony‐Forming Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A tunable bifunctional surface is developed by combining Fc‐binding peptides and RGD motifs to present oriented antibodies alongside integrin‐mediated signaling. The platform selectively captures endothelial colony‐forming cells while promoting their adhesion and proliferation.

Kinetic self-organization of trenched templates for the fabrication of versatile ferromagnetic nanowires

open access: yes, 2007
We have self-organized versatile magnetic nanowires, ie with variable period and adjustable magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE). First, using the kinetic roughening of W(110) uniaxial templates of trenches were grown on commercial Sapphire wafers.

Microscopic Insights into Magnetic Warping and Time‐Reversal Symmetry Breaking in Topological Surface States of Rare‐Earth‐Doped Bi2Te3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the
