Anti‐CD20 Discontinuation Versus Continuation in People Aged Over 50 With Non‐Active Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To determine whether discontinuing anti‐CD20 therapy in people with relapsing‐onset MS aged over 50 is associated with an increased risk of relapse, inflammatory activity, confirmed disability accrual, and serious infection compared with continuing therapy.

Comparative Study on the Adsorption of [AuCl4]– onto Salicylic Acid and Gallic Acid Modified Magnetite Particles

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2016
Salicylic acid-modified magnetite (Mag-SA) and gallic acid-modified magnetite (Mag-GA) particles were prepared by co-precipitation procedure. Characterization results showed the interaction that occurs between the surface of magnetite with salicylic acid

Defect‐Templated Phase Engineering in Atomically Thin Metals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Graphene defects are transformed from passive imperfections into programmable templates for phase‐selective growth of atomically thin silver. Plasma‐generated boundary defects favor Ag(1), whereas sp3‐rich zero‐layer graphene promotes Ag(2). This defect‐directed intercalation links local graphene chemistry to crystalline phase, electronic structure ...

Design of High‐Energy Anode for All‐Solid‐State Lithium Batteries–A Model with Borohydride‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study proposes a function‐sharing anode design to enable nonmetallic lithium insertion while maintaining intimate interfacial contact with the solid‐state electrolyte. A combination of lithium‐compatible and conformable borohydrides, highly conformable indium metal, less‐graphitized acetylene black, and a layer of highly graphitized massive ...

Donor‐Strength‐Driven Evolution From Charge‐Transfer to Polymethine Excited States in CurcBF2 Derivatives

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Donor strength governs the excited‐state character and TADF behavior of donor‐acceptor‐donor borondifluoride curcuminoid derivatives. Increasing donor strength drives a transition from charge‐transfer TADF to a zwitterionic polymethine structure with predominantly local excited‐state emission and suppressed TADF.

Preparation of 2-Arachidonoylglycerol by Enzymatic Alcoholysis: Effects of Solvent and Water Activity on Acyl Migration

open access: yesFoods, 2022
Enzymatic alcoholysis was performed in an organic medium to synthesize 2-monoacylglycerol (2-MAG) rich in arachidonic acid. The results showed that solvent type and water activity (aw) significantly affected the 2-MAG yield. Under the optimum conditions,

Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.

Mechanical Impedance Matching Using a Magnetic Linear Gear

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2017
As part of the Fp7 Clean Sky Project, a linear magnetic gear prototype, called Z-transmitter, for aerospace application was designed, built, and tested. It demonstrates a maximum force capacity of 4700 N at 25°C and 4500 N at 90°C.
