Welding power and post‐weld heat treatment (PWHT) at 850°C influence phase transformations in S32205 duplex stainless steel, promoting sigma phase formation and reducing corrosion resistance. PWHT at 850°C also replicates HAZ‐like microstructures in base metal, enabling improved characterization of weld joint properties.

An Analysis of the Joints’ Properties of Fine-Grained Steel Welded by the MAG and SAW Methods
The article presents an analysis of properties of welded joints of fine-grained steel of P460NH type used more and more often in the modern constructions. A process of examining a technology of welding has been carried out on the thick-walled butt joints

This work presents a study of how 4D‐STEM centre of mass measurements and STEM‐EBIC can be used to map the positions, directions, and strengths of electric fields in semiconductor devices. The contrast mechanisms of both techniques are tested and compared with simulations to build a robust analysis of an in situ device in the electron microscope ...

Image processing of the weld pool and tracking of the welding line in pulsed MAG welding
In order to trace the welding line in the lap welding, weld pool in the pulsed MAG welding was taken by using the CCD camera. The weld pool was observed in the front and rear to the welding direction. The features of the weld pool were investigated to recognize the welding pool.

Wetting the surface of the welded products with protective coatings during MAG welding
Abstract In this paper, theoretical and experimental studies of the kinetics of spreading (distribution) of protective coatings when welding MAG on a solid metal surface in the absence of extraneous (external) driving forces of hydrostatic pressure, gravity, etc. In the kinetic mode, wetting appears as the spreading of liquids on a solid

The savage was a familiar as well as deeply problematic figure in late‐Victorian literary and scientific imaginaries. Savages provided an unstable but capacious and flexible signifier to explore human development and human difference, most often in ways that followed a disturbing racial logic.

Manganese Content Control in Weld Metal During MAG Welding
The influence of the welding current and method of gas shielding in MAG welding on the content of manganese is considered in the paper. Results of study of the welded specimens of steels 45 when applying welding wire of different formulas and different types of gas shielding (traditional shielding and double-jet shielding) are given.

Fatigue Lifetime Assessment of HFMI‐Treated Welded Joints According to the Peak Stress Method
ABSTRACT High‐frequency mechanical impact (HFMI) is an effective post‐weld treatment that enhances fatigue strength by inducing compressive residual stresses, localized strain hardening, and increasing weld toe radii. The peak stress method (PSM) was recently extended to evaluate the fatigue strength of HFMI‐treated steel joints under uniaxial loading ...
