This article addresses the impact of mixing on polymer properties during high‐pressure polymerization of ethylene. Mixing is analyzed using CFD simulations, including polymerization kinetics. Detailed polymer properties are obtained through Monte Carlo simulations. Both modeling steps are linked via a compartmentalization approach.

Metabolism is density‐dependent from unicellular to multicellular organisms. Understanding what drives metabolic suppression is important to explain population growth given the link between metabolism and biomass production. In the simplest scenario, metabolic suppression is caused by a reduction in resource availability with increasing population ...

Identifying knowledge barriers to agroforestry adoption and co‐designing solutions to them
Abstract Compared to monocultures, agroforestry can promote biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and climate resilience, whilst maintaining or enhancing production and profits. Despite this, uptake in temperate regions remains low. Knowledge gaps amongst land managers are a primary barrier to uptake, but little is known about which aspects of ...

National Policy Coherence Counts for Reducing Inequality in Global Climate and Development Agendas
ABSTRACT International institutions promote policy coherence as crucial to the effective and fair implementation of global sustainability agendas, though the evidence for its benefits is slim. We present here the first systematic cross‐country dataset on the consequences of national government efforts to promote policy coherence for vulnerable groups ...
