Identifying Galactic Substructures in 5D Space Using All-sky RR Lyrae Stars in Gaia DR3
Motivated by the vast gap between photometric and spectroscopic data volumes, there is great potential in using 5D kinematic information to identify and study substructures of the Milky Way.

The Large and Small Magellanic Clouds are a pair of nearby, likely rather massive dwarf galaxies. Located at 50 and 60 kpc from us, at the moment well within the halo of the Milky Way, the LMC and the SMC are believed to be the satellites of our Galaxy.

X-Ray Searches for Emission from the WHIM in the Galactic Halo and the Intergalactic Medium
At least 50% of the baryons in the local universe are undetected and predicted to be in a hot dilute phase (1E5-1E7 K) in low and moderate overdensity environments.

Exploring the Origin and Fate of the Magellanic Stream with Ultraviolet and Optical Absorption
(Abridged) We present an analysis of ionization and metal enrichment in the Magellanic Stream (MS), the nearest gaseous tidal stream, using HST/STIS and FUSE ultraviolet spectroscopy of two background AGN, NGC 7469 and Mrk 335.

In this work, we present high-resolution spectroscopic observations for six metal-poor stars with [Fe/H] < –3 (including one with [Fe/H] < –4), selected using narrowband Ca ii HK photometry from the DECam MAGIC Survey.

Velocity structure in the Magellanic Stream
New high sensitivity neutral hydrogen observations of the area of the south galactic pole reveal that the region is littered with anomalous velocity clouds, both positive and negative. It is suggested that all of these clouds are associated with the Magellanic Stream phenomenon.
