Syngas production employing nickel on alumina‐magnesia supported catalyst via dry methane reforming

Materialwissenschaft und Werkstofftechnik, 2021
Nickel supported on alumina‐magnesia bimetallic oxide support (Ni/Al2O3‐MgO) nano‐catalysts were prepared by the co‐precipitation followed by impregnation (two steps) method separately and tested for the dry methane reforming.

Magnesia usta — Gebrannte Magnesia

1928
Weises, leichtes, feines, in Wasser Fast unlosliches Pulver.

Wetting Behavior of High Alumina Slags on the Fused Magnesia under Different Atmospheres and Low Static Magnetic Field

Steel Research International
With the growing demand for high‐aluminum steel, there is an urgent need to enhance the slag resistance of magnesia‐based refractories. The wettability of high‐alumina slag on magnesia‐based refractories serves as a crucial indicator of the refractory's ...

Magnesia–spinel microcomposites

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2004
Abstract This study used a model system of fully dense high purity MgO, incorporating micron size spinel prepared by hot-pressing. Spinel powder was obtained from two sources: (i) 0.5 μm alumina powder was incorporated into MgO by in situ reaction, and (ii) preformed 3 μm spinel powder.

Mechanical Properties of Magnesia and Magnesia-Chromite Refractory Materials

Key Engineering Materials, 2004
In this study, modulus of rupture, elastic modulus and fracture toughness values were investigated at elevated temperature for magnesia and magnesia-chromite content of chromite between 6% and 20%. Modulus of rupture and elastic modulus values were calculated by three point bending test at temperatures 400, 600, 800 and 1400°C.

Synthesis and textural-structural characterization of magnesia, magnesia–titania and magnesia–zirconia catalysts

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2004
Abstract Several pure magnesium oxides together with some mixed systems (magnesia–titania and magnesia–zirconia) were synthesised, using the sol–gel technique. Chemical, textural and structural characterisation of the solids was carried out through a wide range of physical techniques.

Suppressing Ettringite-Induced Swelling of Gypseous Soil by Using Magnesia-Activated Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag

, 2020
Ettringite usually is formed in lime- and cement-stabilized gypseous soils, resulting in significant swelling upon wetting and thereby causing damage to pavements and foundation systems.
