Investigation of Calcined Magnesite Sintering
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics, 2022The composition and properties of two types of calcined magnesium oxide powders, differing in chemical composition, are investigated. The difference in chemical and phase composition determines the different behavior of powders during firing, which is smoothed only at a temperature of more than 1850 °C.

Effect of Magnesite Diameter on Magnesite Reforming Rate

Magnesite Enrichment withPseudomonas oryzihabitansIsolated from Magnesite Ore
Geomicrobiology Journal, 2015Magnesite is a primary source of magnesium and its compounds. The major problem in its practical use are the impurities such as silicon, iron and calcium carbonate. Some magnesite ores in Turkey cannot be used due to a high amount of CaCO3 (≥3%). In this study, bacterial isolates from magnesite quarries in Mersin were tested by plate assay for their ...

Magnesite-chromite products from high purity magnesite and chromite
Refractories, 1971Products made from magnesite and chromite with low-impurity oxide concentrations possess better thermal factors than ordinary periclase-spinel refractories: refractoriness under load: 1700°C and above; bending strength at 1300°C 2.5–3 times greater; deformation 3–4 times; and the rate of deformation at steady-state creep is about a half.
