AbstractWe deformed two natural magnesite aggregates (grain sizes of 1 versus 100 µm) over a wide range of temperatures (400–1000°C) and strain rates (10−7–10−4/s) in order to determine the deformation mechanisms of magnesite and their respective flow laws.

The dissolution study of a South African magnesium-based material from different sources using a pH-stat [PDF]
One of the main steps in the wet flue gas desulphurization (WFGD) process is the dissolution of either magnesite or limestone. Evaluating the magnesite dissolution rate is vital for the design and efficient operation of wet FGD plants.

Mineral reconnaissance at the Highland boundary with special reference to the Loch Lomond and Aberfoyle areas [PDF]
Serpentinite bodies at the Highland Boundary in the Loch Lomond and Aberfoyle areas are extensively altered to magnesite-quartz and ferroan-dolomite-quartz rocks. Silicification was probably initiated before conversion to carbonate.
