Graphene Quantum Dot‐Induced Microstrain for Framework Stabilization of High‐Entropy Prussian Blue Analog in High‐Current Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The intrinsic distortion‐rich lattice of HEPBA with GQD‐enabled microstrain engineering establishes a mechanistic route toward high‐performance alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction. HEPBA inherently feature heterogeneous local coordination environments arising from multimetal incorporation, while properly introducing GQD during coprecipitation ...

Heterocoagulation and chemical transformations in aluminum hydroxide-magnesium hydroxide suspensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The behavior of mixtures of magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxycarbonate gels was evaluated both in terms of initial aggregation of the two solids and the formation of a mixed magnesium aluminum hydroxycarbonate phase. Surface chemistry was found to

Preparation and Characterization of Magnesium Hydroxide by Hydrothermal Modification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2) particles were synthesized and modified via a reaction-hydrothermal process in the present of NaOH. The resultant magnesium hydroxide was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron ...

Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.

Tuning Redox Dynamics in Cu‐Based Electrocatalysts: Effect of Secondary Metals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Advanced analysis of operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy data reveals that secondary metals affect the redox processes in Cu‐based catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. This influences the amount of oxides formed under pulsed reaction conditions and the distribution of reaction products.
