Development and evaluation of a novel, multifunctional, coprocessed excipient via roller compaction of α-Lactose Monohydrate and Magnesium Silicate

open access: yesJournal of Excipients and Food Chemicals, 2016
This study investigates co-processing lactose with synthetic amorphous magnesium silicate with the aim of expanding the use of directly compressible excipients based on native lactose. The co-processing was performed using roller compaction.

Ab initio studies of structural instabilities in magnesium silicate perovskite

open access: yes, 1995
Density-functional simulations are used to calculate structural properties and high-symmetry phonons of the hypothetical cubic phase, the stable orthorhombic phase and an intermediate tetragonal phase of magnesium silicate perovskite.

The mineralogy of newly formed dust in active galactic nuclei

open access: yes, 2017
The tori around active galactic nuclei (AGN) are potential formation sites for large amounts of dust, and they may help resolve the so-called dust budget crisis at high redshift.
