Researching for the unbounded magnetic abrasive application in magnetic abrasive finishing
International Technology and Innovation Conference 2006 (ITIC 2006), 2006A new type of magnetic abrasive is introduced in this paper, which is named as unbounded magnetic abrasives. The magnetic abrasives hold easy making, low cost and good working characteristics, so it possesses a better applying value. The unbounded magnetic abrasive is a mechanical mixture of SiC abrasive and ferromagnetic particles with lubricant.

Electrochemical Magnetic Abrasive Compound Finishing
Key Engineering Materials, 2005In order to find a solution to the problem of inefficiency in magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF), electrochemical finishing (ECF) has been introduced to realize compound finishing. A new idea of integrating a magnetic pole with an electrode pole has been proposed as electrochemical magnetic abrasive finishing (ECMAF). At the same time, the occurrence of

Clarification of magnetic abrasive finishing mechanism
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2003Abstract In order to clarify the mechanism of magnetic abrasive polishing, a planar type process for a non-magnetic material, stainless steel, was examined. A magnetic abrasive brush was formed between a magnetic pole and a workpiece material, in which the summation of three kinds of energy necessary for magnetization of abrasives, i.e.

Parametric Optimization of Magnetic Abrasive Finishing Using Adhesive Magnetic Abrasive Particles
International Journal of Surface Engineering and Interdisciplinary Materials Science, 2019A very precise surface finish is desirable in manufacturing semiconductors, medical equipment, and aerospace parts. The examinations on magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) processes are being done for the modern industry. This newly developed process is serving the industry to achieve the desired level of precision and surface finish.
