Role of Liquid Composition in the Transient Liquid Assisted Growth of Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7‐δ Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The Y supersaturation in the [Ba‐Cu(I/II)‐O] transient liquid composition is the driving force toward YBCO nucleation and growth in TLAG. Tuning the initial (Ba:Cu) molar ratio in the ink composition determines the YBCO epitaxial nucleation through supersaturation control.

From Fiber Architecture to Functional Attachment: A Clinically Relevant, Mechanically Tunable Cardiac Patch

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A personalizable platform featuring a multi‐zonal cardiac patch design at clinical scale enables precise customization of fiber architecture at micro‐ and macroscale via melt electrowriting. Distinct scaffold zones support cell alignment with mechanical force transfer and epicardial attachment.

Study of Signal Mechanism Based on Combining Magnetic Flux Leakage and Eddy Current Testing

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering, 2009
In order to improve sensitivity through information fusion technology, a combined DC magnetic flux leakage and eddy current testing method is proposed. Experimental results indicate that the inner wall cracks in the steel pipe are detected by eddy current system.

Eddy Current Testing of Conductive Tubes With the Employment of the I-Core Sensor

open access: yesIEEE Access
Eddy current testing of tubes made of materials conducting electric current enables scrutinising their structure, geometric dimensions, and detecting flaws, thus limiting the risk of leakage and failure.

Spin‐Dependent Photoluminescence in Carbon‐Based Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here we report, for the first time, room‐temperature magneto‐photoluminescence and optically detected electron spin‐resonance in carbon quantum dots (CQD). We perform measurements on a series of amino acid derived CQD at room temperature and demonstrate their sensing potential by detecting paramagnetic molecules in solution.

Eddy current characterization of cold-worked AISI 321 stainless steel

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2018
Austenitic stainless steels are alloys with desirable features especially in corrosive environments. However, some processes, such as cold-work, can change their original properties owing to the formation of α′-martensite during a strain-induced process.

Signatures of Edge States in Antiferromagnetic Van der Waals Josephson Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The combination of superconductivity and magnetic textures leads to unconventional superconducting phenomena, including new correlated and topological phases. Van der Waals (vdW) materials emerge as a versatile platform for exploring the interplay between these two competing orders.

MAPOD analysis in eddy current testing of flaws considering multiple response signals and multiple flaw parameters

open access: yesJournal of Dynamics Monitoring and Diagnostics
The reliability of the eddy current testing (ECT) in flaw detection is quantitatively evaluated by the probability of detection (POD). Precise and efficient modelling of POD gives direction for the implement of ECT on sites to avoid false or missing flaw
