Hyperfine Interactions, 1984
This study is concerned with the measurement and interpretation of magnetic hyperfine anomalies in electronic and muonic atoms. i.e. effects of the distribution of nuclear magnetization on the magnetic dipole hyperfine interaction. After a summary of the relevant theory and a review of experimental techniques, hyperfine anomaly results are discussed in

Magnetic anomalies and crustal magnetization
1986Abstract The study of geomagnetism is, after geodesy, the oldest of the geophysical sciences and, with the advent of plate tectonics, perhaps the most important. European mariners were using compasses, probably of the “floating lodestone” type, by no later than the treatise by Alexander Neckam in the year 1187.

The Berchtesgaden magnetic anomaly
Geologische Rundschau, 1976A total intensity survey of the large magnetic anomaly in the Berchtesgaden area in the Northern Calcareous Alps has been carried out. The anomaly can be simulated by two-dimensional plate-like bodies having a NS extension of about 65 km, lower boundaries between 20 and 10 km and upper boundaries up to 5 km below the surface, depending on the intensity

Magnetic anomalies in SmMn2Ge2
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1997Abstract The results of electrical resistance (ϱ), magnetoresistance (Δϱ/ϱ) and magnetization ( M ) measurements are reported for polycrystalline SmMn 2 Ge 2 . Sharp variations in ϱ at 108 and 142 K attributable to well-known magnetic transitions from Mn sublattice are noted. Sign of the ϱ across these transitions exhibits anomalies.

Abstract Sodium fullerides Na 3 C 60 have been synthesized by liquid phase reaction and investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The crystal structure of synthesized Na 3 C 60 is complicated and different from reported in the literature.

Filtering marine magnetic anomalies
Journal of Geophysical Research, 1972When marine magnetic anomalies can be adequately modeled by two-dimensional magnetic structures within one or more plane layers, many interesting manipulations of both models and anomalies are linear filtering operations [Dean, 1958; Bott, 1967; Black and Scollar, 1969; Schouten, 1971].

This chapter is devoted to the techniques of collecting and analysing magnetic data on oceanic crust. These data represent the main source for the determination of global plate motions during the Cenozoic and part of the Mesozoic. I describe the methods to design magnetic surveys, process the raw data, and build isochron maps of oceanic regions.

Stokes magnetic anomaly system
New Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, 1978Abstract The Stokes Magnetic Anomaly System is a zone of positive magnetic anomalies which extends for about 2400 km through the New Zealand region. The zone consists of a narrow (

One of the important duties of the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey in recent years has been the preparation of aeronautical charts. On these charts are shown isogonic lines, magnetic azimuths between important cities, or both. Questions have been raised regarding the extent to which magnetic anomalies observed at the surface would ‐affect air ...
