DeepMAD: Deep Learning for Magnetic Anomaly Detection and Denoising

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper we introduce an end-to-end deep learning (DL) framework for magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) and denoising. This framework consists of two neural networks: a binary classification network for magnetic anomaly detection and a regression ...

Accelerated Discovery of Topological Spin Phase Diagrams in CrSBr Magnets Via High‐Throughput Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we develop a high‐throughput algorithm that accelerates the elucidation of phase diagrams of topological spin textures using limited computational resources at high numerical accuracy. Applying this framework to the van der Waals magnet CrSBr, we unveiled a hierarchy of previously unknown topological textures (domain‐wall bimerons, bimeron chains,

Automated Seafloor Massive Sulfide Detection Through Integrated Image Segmentation and Geophysical Data Analysis: Revisiting the TAG Hydrothermal Field

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2023
Accessible seafloor minerals located near mid‐ocean ridges are noticed to mitigate the projected metal demands of the net‐zero energy transition, promoting growing interest in quantifying the global distributions of seafloor massive sulfides (SMS ...

Circularly Polarized Electroluminescence and Spin‐Polarized Carrier Transport in Chiral‐Doped Polymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral dopants induce supramolecular chirality in an achiral polymer (PFO), generating spin‐polarized carriers via the chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) and suggesting a possible contribution of Spin‐polarized carrier transport to circularly polarized electroluminescence (CPEL).

Ultralow-energy magnon anomaly in yttrium iron garnet

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
Ultralow-lying magnon energy spectrum in yttrium iron garnet (YIG) has been studied by inelastic neutron scattering in an energy range from 10 to 45 μeV.

Unified Pressure and Field Response Across Distinct Charge‐Order Regimes in Ti‐Doped CsV3Sb5

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We microscopically investigate the interplay between charge order and superconductivity in a kagome superconductor across regimes of long‐ and short‐range charge order. Hydrostatic‐pressure and magnetic‐field μSR$\mu{\rm SR}$ measurements reveal remarkably similar superconducting and normal‐state time‐reversal‐symmetry‐breaking responses in both ...

Interpretation of the aeromagnetic anomalies of mainland Scotland using pseudogravimetric transformation and other methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
A procedure to upward continue magnetic anomalies observed on an irregular surface onto a horizontal plane has been developed and applied to the aeromagnetic map of Great Britain.

Magneto‐Ionic Devices With Polymer‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes are introduced for magneto‐ionic devices based on hydroxide and hydrogen ions. The magneto‐ionic effect results in a pronounced voltage‐controlled variation of coercivity in both devices. The switching speed is in the range of 100 ms.

Site 1215

open access: yes, 2002
Site 1215 (26°01.77´N, 147°55.99´W, 5396 meters below sea level [mbsl]; Fig. F1) is the northernmost of seven sites drilled on the 56-Ma-crust transect during Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 199.
