Longitudinal magnetic bistability of electroplated wires

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2002
G.V. Kurlyandskaya thanks The Basque Country University for the visiting professor invitation. We thank Prof. J.M. Barandiaran and Dr. J.L. Munoz for helpful discussion. The research has been partially supported by Award No. REC-005 of the US Civilian Research & Development Foundation for the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (CRDF).

OPTICAL BISTABILITY IN A DEGENERATE TWO-LEVEL EIT MEDIUM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF AN EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD: AN ANALYTICAL APPROACH

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học Đại học Đà Lạt, 2021
We investigate the behavior of optical bistability in a degenerate two-level atomic medium using an external magnetic field to separate the lower level into two distinct levels that both connect to an upper level by the probe and coupling laser fields ...

Bend Induced Magnetic Bistability in Amorphous Microwires

open access: yesMaterials Technology, 2023
Magnetic and magneto-optical studies were carried out in microwires that had been subjectedto the bending annealing. A previously unobserved effect of bending-annealing-inducedmagnetic bistability was discovered. This effect is observed only in the region of the samplesubjected to bending.

Achieving large thermal hysteresis in an anthracene-based manganese(II) complex via photo-induced electron transfer

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Achieving magnetic bistability with large thermal hysteresis is still a challenge in material science. Here, the authors report a Mn(II) chain complex that enables light-induced magnetic bistability with a 177 K thermal hysteresis loop.

Diverse Magnetic Properties of Two New Binuclear Complexes Affected by [FeN6] Octahedral Distortion: Two-Step Spin Crossover versus Antiferromagnetic Interactions

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2023
Polymetallic complexes with covalently bridged metal centers that interact magnetically are important in the molecular magnetism field, with binuclear compounds receiving special attention because they represent the simplest type of multinuclear species ...

Bistability of squeezing and entanglement in cavity magnonics

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
We demonstrate how magnon Kerr nonlinearity creates bistability of quantum states when the magnon mode is strongly driven by a microwave field in a nonlinear cavity magnonic system.

Soft magnetic thin film deformation with a bistable electropermanent magnet

open access: yesEngineering Research Express, 2023
Abstract Physically soft magnetic materials (PSMMs) represent an emerging class of materials that can change shape or rheology in response to an external magnetic field. However, until now, no studies have investigated using an electropermanent magnet (EPM) and magnetic repulsion to magnetically deform PSMMs.
