Interlayer sliding in the RuO2Zn2F2 bilayer induces ferroelectricity and enables reversible valley polarization switching. The electric dipole and valley‐resolved band edges are intimately coupled, revealing sliding ferroelectricity as a powerful mechanism for electrical control of valley degrees of freedom in 2D materials.

Magnetic bistability in the salt of organic radical anion-tetrachlorosemiquinone [PDF]
Tetrachlorosemiquinone anion radical salt of potassium was prepared [1] and crystallised as 2-butanone solvate. Its structural and magnetic characteristics were studied by variable-temperature single crystal X-ray diffraction, DFT (wB97XD) and CAS-MP2 calculations, and magnetic susceptibility measurements in the temperature range from 10-340 K.

This paper describes the phenomenon of Bistable Electron Magnetic Resonance, which manifests itself by a resonance line with a distorted shark fin-like shape. This effect requires only a fluctuating hyperfine interaction between electron spins and nuclear spins.
