Research of the deformation of a thin body with a magnetizable elastomer in the magnetic field of a coil

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
Deformation of a thin cylindrical body with a magnetizable elastomer based on silicone in the magnetic field of an electromagnetic coil is investigated experimentally and theoretically. It is observed that a bistability of the thin body equilibrium shape

Interlayer‐Sliding‐Enabled Multiferroicity and Giant Switchable Anomalous Hall Conductivity in RuO2Zn2F2 Bilayer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interlayer sliding in the RuO2Zn2F2 bilayer induces ferroelectricity and enables reversible valley polarization switching. The electric dipole and valley‐resolved band edges are intimately coupled, revealing sliding ferroelectricity as a powerful mechanism for electrical control of valley degrees of freedom in 2D materials.

Magnetic bistability in the salt of organic radical anion-tetrachlorosemiquinone [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 2011
Tetrachlorosemiquinone anion radical salt of potassium was prepared [1] and crystallised as 2-butanone solvate. Its structural and magnetic characteristics were studied by variable-temperature single crystal X-ray diffraction, DFT (wB97XD) and CAS-MP2 calculations, and magnetic susceptibility measurements in the temperature range from 10-340 K.

Quantifying Magnetic Anisotropy of Ferroelectric Fe(II) Square‐Pyramidal Systems Using Torque Magnetometry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...

Bistable electron magnetic resonance in solids

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Chimie, 2004
This paper describes the phenomenon of Bistable Electron Magnetic Resonance, which manifests itself by a resonance line with a distorted shark fin-like shape. This effect requires only a fluctuating hyperfine interaction between electron spins and nuclear spins.

Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

Programmable Elastic Wave Control Via Mechanical‐Acoustic Interaction in Bistable Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically programmable metamaterial based on mechanical‐acoustic interaction enables reconfigurable elastic wave control through bistable state switching. Spatial encoding of peak and valley states tunes band structures and transmission, achieving low‐frequency vibration suppression, waveguiding, and energy localization.

Flowing Active Liquids in a Pipe: Hysteretic Response of Polar Flocks to External Fields

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2018
We investigate the response of colloidal flocks to external fields. We first show that individual colloidal rollers align with external flows, as would a classical spin with magnetic fields.
