Optically monitored nuclear spin dynamics in individual GaAs quantum dots grown by droplet epitaxy

open access: yes, 2008
We report optical orientation experiments in individual, strain free GaAs quantum dots in AlGaAs grown by droplet epitaxy. Circularly polarized optical excitation yields strong circular polarization of the resulting photoluminescence at 4K.

A Supramolecular Ferroelectric With Two Sublattices and Polarization Dependent Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric behavior in a supramolecular material with two, independently switchable, sublattices is demonstrated. The sublattices can be associated with the two dipolar groups in the compound. Moreover, the polarization is found to couple to the charge transport in the material, giving rise to a switchable, directional conductivity.

Non-volatile bistability effect based on electrically controlled phase transition in scaled magnetic semiconductor nanostructures

open access: yes, 2005
We explore the bistability effect in a dimensionally scaled semiconductor nanostruncture consisting of a diluted magnetic semiconductor quantum dot (QD) and a reservoir of itinerant holes separated by a barrier.

PT-symmetry induced bi-stability in non-Hermitian cavity magnomechanics

open access: yesResults in Physics
We study the steady-state non-Hermitian magnomechanical system driven by a transverse magnetic field directly interacting with YIG sphere yielding in magnons excitation, which later interacts with cavity microwave photons.

Stochastic thermodynamics of inertial-like Stuart–Landau dimer

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
Stuart–Landau limit-cycle oscillators are a paradigm in the study of coherent and incoherent limit cycles. In this work, we generalize the standard Stuart–Landau dimer model to include effects due to an inertia-like term and noise and study its dynamics ...

Towards understanding dynamo action in M dwarfs

open access: yes, 2015
Recent progress in observational studies of magnetic activity in M dwarfs urgently requires support from ideas of stellar dynamo theory. We propose a strategy to connect observational and theoretical studies.

Diffusion–Model–Driven Discovery of Ferroelectrics for Photocurrent Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a diffusion model–based generative AI and high‐throughput screening framework that accelerates the discovery of photovoltaic ferroelectrics. By coupling AI driven crystal generation with machine learning and DFT screening, we identified Ca3P2 and LiCdP as new ferroelectric materials exhibiting strong polarization, feasible switching ...

Kondo effect and the fate of bistability in molecular quantum dots with strong electron-phonon coupling

open access: yes, 2015
We investigate the properties of the molecular quantum dot (Holstein-Anderson) model using numerical and analytical techniques. Path integral Monte Carlo simulations for the cumulants of the distribution function of the phonon coordinate reveal that at ...

Gate Enhancing Charge‐Spin Conversion in Organic Chiral Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Room‐temperature organic chiral multiferroic field effect transistors are demonstrated, enabling bidirectional control between spin and charge. Specifically, spin polarization affects the ferroelectric polarization, and ferroelectric polarization, in turn, can modulate spin polarization and spin‐dependent transport.
