Magnetic resonance angiography of the circle of Willis in migraine patients

Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2005
We analysed records of 244 consecutive adult outpatients who presented at our neurological polyclinic between 1996 and 2001 with migraine and who underwent a MRA of the circle of Willis. In 80 cases, a definitive migraine diagnosis according to the International Headache Society criteria (1988) could be retrieved from the patient records.

Magnetic resonance tomographic angiography of the arterial circle (of Willis)

Clinical Anatomy, 1998
This article presents the use of magnetic resonance tomographic angiography (MRTA) of the arterial circle (of Willis) in the diagnosis of some clinically relevant abnormalities, with special reference to trigeminal neuralgia and aneurysms. Clin. Anat. 11:338–341, 1998. © 1998 Wiley-Liss, Inc.

Variations of the Circle of Willis Determined Via Magnetic Resonance Angiography

Journal of the Anatomical Society of India, 2022
Introduction: The circle of Willis (CoW) represents the collateral pathway between large brain-feeding arteries, the knowledge of which is important in interventional and neurosurgical procedures, in the diagnosis and planning of procedures in acute stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage. Aim:

Weyl expansion of a circle billiard in a magnetic field

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1999
Summary: We compute the high orders of the Weyl expansion for the heat kernel of a circle billiard in the presence of a uniform and perpendicular magnetic field. It is shown, in accordance with a conjecture made in \textit{R. Narevich}, \textit{D. Spehner} and \textit{E. Akkermans} [J. Phys. A, Math. Gen.

Development of a half-circle-shaped tubular permanent magnet machine

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
This paper presents a novel half-circle-shaped tubular linear permanent magnet machine named as “circular shaft motor (CSM)” for direct-drive applications. A CSM is a kind of the tubular synchronous actuator. Both the stator and the mover of a CSM are bent in a circle. A CSM can realize the motion along the circumference of a circle. In this paper, the

Magnetic characterization of magnetic tunnel junction devices using circle transfer curves

Journal of Applied Physics, 2008
We describe new characterization methods that allow an accurate determination of all of the magnetic parameters that govern the behavior of magnetoresistive devices. These characterization methods are explained and used to measure the magnetic properties of MgO-based magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) devices with magnetoresistance values of over 150%.

VARIANTS OF THE CIRCLE OF WILLIS ON NON-CONTRAST MAGNETIC RESONANCE ANGIOGRAPHY

Tạp chí Y Dược học Cần Thơ, 2023
Background: The Circle of Willis (CoW) distributes oxygenated blood throughout the brain and represents the only major anastomosis of the brain. The study of variations in CoW is crucial for avoiding confusion of the anomalies with aneurysms, evaluating collateral pathways in the intracerebral circulation, and enhancing pre-operative planning in ...

Magnetic Models on ℤD and on the Circle

1985
This chapter consists of two parts. Part 1 extends the results of Chapter IV to ferromagnetic models on the integer lattices ℤ D , D∈{1, 2, ...}. These results included properties of the specific Gibbs free energy, the specific magnetization, and infinite-volume Gibbs states.

Pictorial review: Magnetic resonance angiography of arterial variants at the Circle of Willis

Clinical Radiology, 1997
As intracranial MR angiography becomes more widely used and spatial resolution improves, anomalies at the Circle of Willis which have been previously well described on angiographic studies and anatomic dissections will become more frequently appreciated by MR angiography.
