Magnetic Nanoparticles with Core/Shell Structures
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2008Magnetic nanoparticles with core/shell structures are an important class of functional materials, possessing unique magnetic properties due to their tailored dimensions and compositions. This paper reviews mainly our recent advances in the preparation and characterizations of core/shell structured magnetic materials, focusing in nonmagnetic ...

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1941
The magnets used in the new University of Illinois mass spectrograph are described. Included is a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of single casting cores as compared to the usual built-up multiple section type of core. Core designs for mass spectrographic purposes and possible limitations as to size are suggested.

Core–Shell Magnetic Nanoclusters
2009Nanoclusters, aggregates of a few tens to millions of atoms or molecules, have been extensively studied over the past decades. Core–shell nanoclusters have received increasing attention because of their tunable physical and chemical properties through controlling chemical composition and relative sizes of core and shell.
