Magnetic drive couplings

9th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Drives, 1999
Eddy current couplings using embedded magnet excitation are now commercially available offering key benefits in applications such as large pumps, compressors and conveyors. The paper describes a linear field model based upon 'layer theory' that has been used to assist in the development and optimisation of a range of eddy current couplings.

Magnetically Coupled Circuits

2019
The circuit elements in circuits, we analyzed thus far, are conductively coupled. Conductors are used to connect elements. Circuit elements can also be connected through magnetic fields, called magnetically coupled. An inductor is basically a conducting coil.

Magnetic Coupling and Magnetoresistance

1994
In this chapter, the related subjects of magnetic coupling and magnetoresistance in ultrathin film structures are discussed in detail. Antiferromagnetic exchange coupling can occur between two ultrathin ferromagnetic films (e.g., Fe) separated by a non-magnetic spacer layer (e.g., Cr) of the correct thickness.

Magnetically Coupled Circuits

1998
In our introductory study, inductance is introduced as a circuit two-terminal element, and circuit analysis defined in terms of the magnetic flux and the current producing this flux (i.e. as the ratio of the flux to the current). Strictly speaking, this definition is of self-inductance, which, however, is commonly just called inductance.
