Micromagnetic Simulation of Nanoscale Films with Perpendicular Anisotropy

open access: yes, 1996
A model is studied for the theoretical description of nanoscale magnetic films with high perpendicular anisotropy. In the model the magnetic film is described in terms of single domain magnetic grains with Ising-like behavior, interacting via exchange as

Writing and reading of single magnetic domain per bit perpendicular patterned media [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
By fabricating patterned media with a large number of nanoscale single domain magnetic particles embedded in a nonmagnetic substrate, and by writing the magnetization for each of these particles in a desired direction, nonvolatile magnetic storage of ...

Magnetic domain wall skyrmions

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2019
It is well established that the spin-orbit interaction in heavy metal/ferromagnet heterostructures leads to a significant interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interaction (DMI) that modifies the internal structure of magnetic domain walls (DWs) to favor N el over Bloch type configurations.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Quantum Dynamics of Spin Wave Propagation Through Domain Walls [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Through numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation, we demonstrate that magnetic chains with uniaxial anisotropy support stable structures, separating ferromagnetic domains of opposite magnetization. These structures, domain walls in a

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

The origin of magnetization-caused increment in water oxidation

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Magnetization promoted activity of magnetic catalysts towards the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) has attracted great attention, but remains a puzzle where the increment comes from.

Superparamagnetism induced by polar nanoregions in relaxor ferroelectric (1$-$$x$)BiFeO$_{3}$-$x$BaTiO$_{3}$

open access: yes, 2011
A new class of superparamagnetism was found in relaxor ferroelectric 2/3BiFeO$_{3}$-1/3BaTiO$_{3}$. The size of the magnetic particle, estimated from the superparamagnetic magnetization curve, coincides with the size of the polar nanoregion (PNR), which ...

Exact asymptotic behavior of magnetic stripe domain arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The classical problem of magnetic stripe domain behavior in films and plates with uniaxial magnetic anisotropy is treated. Exact analytical results are derived for the stripe domain widths as function of applied perpendicular field, $H$, in the regime ...
