Magnetic bibubble dynamics driven by magnetic field gradients
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2022Abstract A magnetic bibubble is a composite structure involving two magnetic bubbles with topological skyrmion number N sk = ± 2 , which can be formed by merging two individual magnetic bubbles. Unlike the normal magnetic bubble, the axial symmetry of the bibubble is thus broken, which provide us an ideal platform to study the ...

Magnetically induced electric field gradients
Hyperfine Interactions, 1986Several investigations of the Mossbauer spectrum of Fe2As have yielded results which do not agree with those obtained by neutron diffraction studies. We report here a new investigation, and we show that the earlier disagreement is caused by a lack of appreciation of several factors.

Measurement of Magnetic Field Gradients
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1955A simple instrument for measuring magnetic field gradients with one-half percent accuracy is described, consisting of a small search coil vibrated at 100 cps by a loudspeaker. The application of this instrument to field gradient measurements on a magnet with hyperbolic pole pieces is described, together with some considerations on constant gradient ...

Passive screening of switched magnetic field gradients
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1986In NMR imaging the rapid switching of magnetic field gradients can induce currents in surrounding conductors, thus creating undesirable reflected fields which are spatially and temporally inhomogeneous. For certain types of gradient switching it is possible to screen the magnetic fields completely, using a thick cylindrical conductor, within which the ...

Force-detected magnetic resonance without field gradients
Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, 1998A novel method of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is described which promises to be preferable to known general methods at sample length scales below approximately 100 microm. Its advantages stem from the seemingly paradoxical combination of a homogeneous static magnetic field and detection of a mechanical force between a spin-bearing sample and a ...

Pure phase encode magnetic field gradient monitor
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2009Numerous methods have been developed to measure MRI gradient waveforms and k-space trajectories. The most promising new strategy appears to be magnetic field monitoring with RF microprobes. Multiple RF microprobes may record the magnetic field evolution associated with a wide variety of imaging pulse sequences.

2020 27th Saint Petersburg International Conference on Integrated Navigation Systems (ICINS), 2020
The report presents the analysis of opportunities of aircraft navigation systems development with regard to the aid of onboard geophysical fields measurements. We consider some prospective systems which today are not widely used: magnetic gradiometers that measure stationary magnetic field gradient, gravity gradiometers that measure gravity field ...

Magnetic field gradient system for nuclear magnetic resonance microimaging
MAGMA Magnetic Resonance Materials in Physics, Biology, and Medicine, 1996In this study we present an orthogonal magnetic field gradient system for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) microimaging applications. The construction details are given for a prototype assembly for proton microscopy inside a 50-mm vertical bore magnet, which is designed to fit into a commercial 300-MHz NMR probe.

Tailoring magnetic field gradient design to magnet cryostat geometry
2006 International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2006Eddy currents induced within a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) cryostat bore during pulsing of gradient coils can be applied constructively together with the gradient currents that generate them, to obtain good quality gradient uniformities within a specified imaging volume over time.
