Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.

Temperature and strain scaling laws for the critical current density in Nb(_3)Sn and Nb(_3)Al conductors in high magnetic fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Detailed, accurate measurements of critical current density and resistivity to determine the upper critical field have been made on a technological NbsAl conductor in magnetic fields up to 15 T, temperatures from 4.2 K up to the critical temperature and ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Magnetization measurements in ultrahigh magnetic fields

open access: yes, 2004
Although ultrahigh magnetic fields in excess of 100 T have become available by specialized techniques, magnetization measurements in these fields are still a challenging task. Nowadays, magnetic fields in the megagauss range can be produced only by the semidestructive single-turn coil (STC) technique and by the fully destructive flux compression.

Performance of the stretched-and vibrating-wire techniques and correction of background fields in locating quadrupole magnetic axes

open access: yes, 2015
A single conducting wire is used for localizing the magnetic axis of a quadrupole magnet. The localization is performed by both the stretched-wire and the vibratingwire method. The compatibility of the two measurements is demonstrated and the measurement
