The magnetic field modeling of the PM-pole rotor is presented. According to the magnetic characteristics of the three regions of the rotor space, Laplace’s equations of magnetic scalar potential are derived. By using the boundary conditions in between neighboring regions as well as the spherical harmonic expansion of radial component of the residual ...

Spacecraft magnetic field modeling
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1977Excellent results have recently been obtained using a new analysis technique developed by this author to model spacecraft magnetic fields. The technique described here is capable of producing accurate mathematical models of magnetic fields surrounding almost any magnetic object.

Modelling coronal magnetic fields
Solar Physics, 1981The ‘hairy ball’ model of coronal magnetic fields has a spherical source surface separating potential and radial magnetic fields. In the present model the source surface is chosen such that the wind speed equals the Alfvenic speed at selected points on the source surface. Results have been obtained for a dipole base field and an isothermal corona.

A hybrid magnetic field model for axisymmetric magnets
2013 IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics, 2013A hybrid model, synergistically fusing the accuracy of artificial neutral networks (ANNs) and the efficiency of the single magnetic dipole (MD) model, is presented to characterize the magnetic field of axisymmetric cylindrical permanent magnets. While the MD model is widely used due to its simplicity, its efficacy reduces dramatically near the source ...

A CRITICAL ISING MODEL IN A MAGNETIC FIELD
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 1993Generalising ideas developed by Owczarek and Baxter and by Pasquier, we establish an equivalence between restricted solid-on-solid models and loop models. Application to the O (n) model leads to a new family of solvable A-D-E models. For the models related to the classical A L algebra we present an off-critical extension and show that the A 3 model ...

Magnetic Field Data Correction in Space for Modelling the Lithospheric Magnetic Field
Space Science Reviews, 2016The Earth’s magnetic field as it is measured by low-Earth orbit satellites such as Swarm and CHAMP results from the superposition of internal and external source fields overlapping in time and in space. The Earth’s lithospheric field is one of the weakest sources detectable from space and its accurate description requires treatments of rapidly-varying ...
