Flexible magnetic field sensor technologies
Spintronics XIV, 2021Conventional magnetic field sensors are fabricated on flat substrates and are rigid. Extending 2D structures into 3D space relying on the flexible electronics approaches allows to enrich conventional or to launch novel functionalities of spintronic-based devices.

The authors present a novel, fully integrated magnetic field sensor made in the standard, polysilicon-gate CMOS technology. The circuit shows a sensitivity of 1.2 V/T with 10 V supply voltage and 100 /spl mu/A current consumption. The circuit consists of a pair of split-drain MOS transistors in a CMOS-differential amplifier-like configuration.

No.04EX843), 2004Using a quasi-static approximation, the construction of a weak magnetic field sensor containing a thin magnetic film is researched and optimised. A sensitivity comparison of the sensor with a polycrystalline Permalloy film and the sensor with a monocrystalline yttrium-iron garnet film is carried out.

The device has a sensitivity better than 100 pT, it operates in a wide temperature range, it is simple and cheap. Good stability and linearity of the device have been measured.
