Effect of magnetic field on magnetic anisotropy sensor.

open access: yesJournal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1991
Nondestructive methods for measurement of mechanical stress are important to studies of magnetic materials. Magnetic anisotropy sensors (MAS), which have been employed in stress and torque sensors, can also be utilized in the noncontact detection of magnetic anisotropy in materials to estimate stress or defects in them.

A Micromachined Resonant Magnetic Field Sensor

open access: yes2000 Solid-State, Actuators, and Microsystems Workshop Technical Digest, 2000
A micromachined magnetic field sensor has been designed, fabricated and tested. Its principle of operation is based on the change of resonant frequency of a magnetically sensitive micromechanical resonator as a function of applied external magnetic field. Magnetic sensitivity is achieved by incorporating magnetically soft (permeable) or hard (permanent

YIG Film for Magnetic Field Sensor

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica A, 2015
Single crystal Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) lm was grown onto (111) oriented gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) substrate by the liquid phase epitaxy (PLD) technique. The X-ray di raction measurements showed that epitaxial growth of the lm along its (111) axis. The surface characteristic was investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurement.

Superconductor/magnetoresistance mixed sensor with magnetic flux guides for in-plane magnetic field measurement

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
A superconductor/magnetoresistance (SC/MR) mixed sensor often has very high-precision detection capability, but it is only sensitive to the out-of-plane magnetic field that is perpendicular to the superconducting flux-to-field transformation amplifier ...

Contactless and absolute linear displacement detection based upon 3D printed magnets combined with passive radio-frequency identification

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
Within this work a passive and wireless magnetic sensor, to monitor linear displacements, is proposed. We exploit recent advances in 3D printing and fabricate a polymer bonded magnet with a spatially linear magnetic field component corresponding to the ...

Longitudinal spatial characterisation of optical fibre erbium distributed feedback laser under the motion of steady magnetic field

open access: yes, 2014
The spatial sensitivity of an erbium doped optical fibre distributed feedback (DFB) laser to an external magnetic field is reported. Intrinsic birefringence of the laser cavity allows lasing in two orthogonal modes.
