High performance magnetic field sensor based on Superconducting Quantum Interference Filters

open access: yes, 2004
We have developed an absolute magnetic field sensor using Superconducting Quantum Interference Filter (SQIF) made of high-T_c grain boundary Josephson junctions.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Local magnetic measurements in magnetic circuits with highly nonuniform electromagnetic fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, local magnetic measurements are carried out in magnetic circuits with highly non uniform electromagnetic field patterns, including excitation winding and/or air gaps, as in the case of rotating electrical machines.

Magnetic field sensor with voltage-tunable sensing properties

open access: yes, 2012
We report on a magnetic field sensor based on CoFeB/MgO/CoFeB magnetic tunnel junctions. By taking advantage of the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of the CoFeB/MgO interface, the magnetization of the sensing layer is tilted out-of-plane which results ...

Effect of magnetic field on magnetic anisotropy sensor.

open access: yesJournal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1991
Nondestructive methods for measurement of mechanical stress are important to studies of magnetic materials. Magnetic anisotropy sensors (MAS), which have been employed in stress and torque sensors, can also be utilized in the noncontact detection of magnetic anisotropy in materials to estimate stress or defects in them.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

A Magnetic Sensor with Amorphous Wire

open access: yesSensors, 2014
Using a FeCoSiB amorphous wire and a coil wrapped around it, we have developed a sensitive magnetic sensor. When a 5 mm long amorphous wire with the diameter of 0.1 mm was used, the magnetic field noise spectrum of the sensor was about 30 pT/ÖHz above ...

Magnetic Field Sensing Characteristics Based on Optical Microfiber Coupler Interferometer and Magnetic Fluid

open access: yesPhotonics, 2021
In this paper, a novel and compact magnetic field sensor based on the combination of an optical microfiber coupler interferometer (OMCI) and magnetic fluid (MF) is proposed.
