Magnetic anisotropy of quaternary GaMnAsP ferromagnetic semiconductor

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We report a systemeatic investigation of magnetic anisotropy of quaternary GaMnAsP ferromagnetic semiconductor films by magneto-transport. Hall measurements showed a transition of the easy magnetization direction from in-plane to out-of plane with ...

Differential effect of magnetic alignment on additive manufacturing of magnetocaloric particles

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
Additive manufacturing of materials using magnetic particles as feedstock has attracted tremendous attention during the past decade owing to its ability to tune both shape and magnetocrystalline anisotropy, which can significantly enhance the magnetic ...

Epitaxial thin films of multiferroic Bi2FeCrO6 with B-site cationic order

open access: yes, 2007
Epitaxial thin films of Bi2FeCrO6 have been synthesized by pulsed laser deposition on SrRuO3 on (100)- and (111)-oriented SrTiO3 substrates. Detailed X-ray diffraction and cross-section transmission electron microscopy analysis revealed a double ...

Multilayer Soft Photonic Arrays Inspired by Cephalopod Skin for High‐Density, Independent, and Multimodal Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A vertically stacked, DEA‐driven photonic array inspired by cephalopod skin, featuring highly crystalline colloidal crystal gels with vivid color, low FWHM and scalability is presented. The multilayer design removes lateral pixel interference, achieving near‐100% fill factor with fully independent RGB actuation.

Second order perturbed Heisenberg Hamiltonian of Fe3O4 ultra-thin films

open access: yesCeylon Journal of Science, 2018
Due to the wide range of applications, theoretical models of Fe3O4 films are found to be important. Ultra thin Fe3O4 films with ferrite structure have been theoretically investigated using second order perturbed modified Heisenberg Hamiltonian.

Vortices and the mixed state of ultrathin Bi films

open access: yes, 2002
Current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of quench condensed, superconducting, ultrathin Bi films in a magnetic field are reported. These show hysteresis for all films, grown both with and without thin Ge underlayers.

Magnetic Films on Nanoparticle Arrays [PDF]

open access: yesThe Open Surface Science Journal, 2012
Novel properties originating from the combination of magnetism with the reduced dimensionality of nanoobjects are of considerable interest for fundamental science but are also readily used in a wide range of technological applications. To fulfill the demand for larger capacities of storage systems, complex magnetic heterostructures of a nanometer size ...

Coexisting Rashba/Dresselhaus Spin Splitting in Solution‐Processed Bournonite Films Using Circular Photogalvanic Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Impedance of nanometer thickness ferromagnetic Co40Fe40B20 films

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2011
Nanocrystalline Co40Fe40B20 films, with film thickness t f = 100 nm, were deposited on glass substrates by the magnetron sputtering method at room temperature. During the film deposition period, a dc magnetic field, h = 40 Oe, was applied to introduce an

Transport properties of chemically synthesized polypyrrole thin films

open access: yes, 2007
The electronic transport in polypyrrole thin films synthesized chemically from the vapor phase is studied as a function of temperature as well as of electric and magnetic fields.
