A Flux Voltmeter for Magnetic Tests
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1926A voltmeter is described for a-c. circuits the voltage indications of which are directly proportional to the maximum flux density, regardless of the wave shape of the voltage. While the instrument is suitable for many varieties of magnetic tests, its most important application is to the reduction of transformer coreloss measurements to sine-wave basis.

A device for measuring complex permeabilities, called a magnetic flux sensor, has been constructed from ferrite. Tests of the sensor which involve the imaginary part of the complex permeability are described in this paper. With a signal-to-null ratio of 2:1, the sensor can detect a change of resistance per unit resistance in metallic samples of 1.1×10 ...

Controlling the Motion of Magnetic Flux Quanta
Physical Review Letters, 2004We study the transport of vortices in superconductors with triangular arrays of boomerang- or V-shaped asymmetric pinning wells, when applying an alternating electrical current. The asymmetry of the pinning landscape induces a very efficient "diode" effect, that allows the sculpting at will of the magnetic field profile inside the sample.

The modes of oscillation of a magnetic flux tube are explored, working from the fundamental differential equations obtained in Chapter 3. Sausage modes and kink modes (as in a magnetic slab) are investigated and their dispersion relations understood. Fluting modes also occur.

To make clear the experimental basis of electromagnetic induction and magnetic flux and to introduce magnetic materials. To relate flux with the current causing it and with the e.m.f. it can induce. To define a magnetic circuit and to derive equations for a general circuit and also for a simple one where flux lines are confined by material.
