Detectability of Rail Defects by Magnetic Flux Leakage Method
Russian Journal of Nondestructive Testing, 2019The ability of the Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) method to detect flaws in railway rails in two different ways has been studied. First, a three-dimensional computer simulation of the leakage of magnetic flux around a transverse crack in the rail head was carried out to determine the relationship between the main characteristics (size and depth) of the ...

In-pipe Detection System Based on Magnetic Flux Leakage and Eddy Current Detection
2020 International Conference on Sensing, Measurement & Data Analytics in the era of Artificial Intelligence (ICSMD), 2020Pipeline plays an important role in the transportation of oil and gas. In-pipe detection technology is currently widely used at home and abroad. It is of great significance to develop in-pipe detection equipment with independent intellectual property rights and suitable for the actual situation of oil and gas pipelines in China.

Detection of high stress concentration zone using magnetic flux leakage method
International Journal of Structural Integrity, 2020PurposeA tower crane mainly ensures the success or efficiency of building construction. Fatigue crack analysis is important for tower crane components to prevent any accidents to workers in construction sites caused by component failure and to ease the maintenance or replacement of failed components. This work aimed to characterise the damage of failed

Magnetic Flux Leakage techniques for detecting corrosion of pipes
2022Oil and gas pipelines are subjected to corrosion due to harsh environmental conditions as in refinery and thermal power plants. Interesting problems such as internal and external corrosion, emerging from the increasing demand for pipeline protection have prompted this study.

Rail Track Defect Detection using Enhanced Method of Magnetic Flux Leakage Signal
2021 International Conference on Design Innovations for 3Cs Compute Communicate Control (ICDI3C), 2021India procures a major position in the list of quickly developing countries with notable and appreciable advancements in the field of railway network. Derailments contribute to several railway accidents that have been caused. This is mainly due to the cracks in the railway track. These cracks usually go unobserved due to irregular maintenance.

We proposed a lightweight magnetizer toward the realization of a portable circumferential magnetic flux leakage (MFL) inspection tool for the detection of longitudinal defects with a linear motion between pipes and the inspection tool. The proposed magnetizer consists of four permanent magnetic poles constructing a configuration in which the like poles

A Compact Resonance-Enhanced AC Magnetic Flux Leakage Detection Probe Based on ME Composites
IEEE Sensors JournalDue to the bulky U-shaped magnetizer structure and low-efficiency magnetic sensors, traditional magnetic flux leakage (MFL) probes suffer from insufficient detection performance and poor applicability. Therefore, this article proposes a compact MFL probe

Magnetic-Flux-Leakage-Based Pressure Deformation Detection of Elevator Wire Rope
JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN SOCIETY FOR NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING,
